Dennings LLP is a two partner specialist Criminal Law Firm practising within the West Midlands area. Having now one of the largest number of Duty Solicitor slots on the “Black Country” court rotas, Dennings LLP can be seen daily within many of the West Midlands courts. We have over a hundred years experience amongst our solicitors and fee earners.

Criminal law lies at the heart of the practice. We provide representation at police stations, youth, magistrates' and crown courts conducting the bulk of the advocacy ourselves. We are able to assist in all criminal cases from minor road traffic matters to serious criminal offences such as murder ,rape, firearms offences, drug importations ,complex fraud and multi-defendant cases.

We are also specialist solicitors in matters of Taxi Licensing Law and frequently represent our private clients in taxi committees and appeal hearings in both the Magistrates Courts and the Crown Courts nationwide. We are proud to be one of only three firms of solicitors nationwide officially approved by the National Private Hire Association. In this capacity we provide advice and assistance to the Association's members in all respects of Taxi Licensing. We have had considerable success in this regard against a variety of Local Authorities in the United Kingdom and pride ourselves on the many positive results that we have achieved on behalf of our clients.

We have a large number of staff accredited to attend police stations so as a firm we offer a 24 hour call out ("emergency") service and are happy to attend police station attendances at short notice. We always have at least one member of staff "on call" to assist. We are accessible in person, by telephone, by fax and by email and aim to respond to our queries within a timely fashion. We also have experienced consultant solicitors who assist us with all aspects of criminal litigation so our clients hopefully always have someone to help them in their "hour of need". We regularly attend courts on Saturdays and Bank Holidays so we can assure our clients that we can provide them with a high class and professional service 24 hours a day 365 days of the year.

Legal Aid

We have been awarded a criminal law contract by the Legal Services Commission which enables us to do publicly funded work (formerly known as "Legal Aid") for those individuals who qualify for such assistance. We are also willing to negotiate a competitive rate for anyone who wishes to instruct us on a private paying basis.

With such a large number of experienced staff, Dennings LLP prides itself on its professional ethos. Combined our staff have knowledge about all aspects of criminal proceedings and procedures. They are always willing to assist our clients whenever possible.

Dennings LLP also provide a full agency service and often assists other firms of solicitors throughout the West Midlands undertaking work funded both privately and via Legal Aid system. Moreover we have now forged a strong working relationship with Law Call on Line to be able to provide a full professional agency service to solicitors nationwide at a competitive rate.

Although we are based in the West Midlands we are willing to undertake work nationwide. We have a large client base all over the United Kingdom and have undertaken work for clients in a variety of locations.

We are open Monday to Friday 9am until 5 pm but regularly see clients outside normal office hours by arrangement. We also have the facilities to accommodate disabled clients as our offices are wheel chair accessible. We have the expertise to assist clients in a variety of languages in addition to English. We have provided such assistance in Punjabi, Urdu, Hindi, French and Hungarian. We are also able to call on the services of nationally approved interpreters , quality barristers and "expert witnesses" in a variety of areas when required for legal proceedings.
